Bottles

BottlesTraditionally, red wines are bottled in green bottles and most whites in clear. However, if stored correctly, (dark cool area) your wine should store fine in either clear or green bottles.

Most wine bottles have the same size opening and both number 8 or number 9 corks can be used. Number 8's have a slightly smaller diameter and are 1/4" shorter and are best for short-term storage (less than 1 year). If you plan to age your wine more than 1 year, we recommend using a number 9 cork.

Please note: 187 ml (6 oz) bottles do have a smaller opening and use a number 7 cork.
